Your data, your control. Here's exactly what we collect and why.
When you upload a file or paste text, it is stored temporarily on our servers. Files are automatically deleted when they reach their expiry time based on your plan tier. We do not sell, share, or analyze your uploaded content.
ShareForMe is built around ephemeral sharing. Guest uploads expire after 30 minutes. Free registered user files have a longer retention window. Pro and Premium users enjoy extended or permanent storage. Once expired, files are permanently deleted — no ghost copies are retained.
If you register, we store your email address solely for authentication. We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other personal identifiers. Your email is never sold or shared with third parties.
To prevent abuse and enforce guest upload limits, we log IP addresses on a per-request basis. This data is used only for rate limiting and security purposes, not for tracking or profiling.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No persistent tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, and no third-party analytics scripts are used on ShareForMe.
All data in transit is protected via TLS/HTTPS. Uploaded files are stored on the server filesystem and are not publicly browsable — they are only accessible via their unique share link.
